Heck, give him a match with Penthouse or Felix that gets cut short after 5 minutes when an HOB guy interferes - so he stays 'undefeated', the match is still 5 minutes, but the other guy isn't hurt by losing.
AEW only has one combined Dark+Rampage+Dynamite taping per week right now, with the occasional Live Rampage. It's one of those cases where we need Quantity over Quality, because there isn't much quality in extending a Dax Harwood or Jungle Boy or Adam Cole match an additional 5 minutes. We need Hook, we need Rosa and FTR tag matches, it can't keep going like this with throwaway matches lasting 12-15 minutes while both green talent and aging stars sit on the shelf.

I guess it would be a different topic but I would say otherwise. The tapings are 4-5 hours long if you go to the average aew show and its not like I didn’t enjoy them when i went but they’re hard to sit through. If you add more to an already long taping I would think that ticket sales might suffer. They offset some of these matches by doing the all elite zone dark tapings in florida but they aren’t making money off that and sometimes you can tell when people just stumbled in to watch a free show because they’ll be episodes of dark with audiences that are into everything then episodes where they don’t even react at all. Maybe just so that they can get more people ready for tv they can put roh on tour as their own house shows and people can have their matches to get some reps in. But of course its too good of an idea to ever actually happen and all we can hope for is more live rampage episodes to do two hours of dark matches before.

I should have worded it differently, but I meant they should have the same amount of total match time (as opposed to promos, recaps, interviews, etc) - but have more total matches. So instead of having 15 minute long matches during a 5 hour taping, have more 6-8 minute matches.
Imagine if you tuned in last week to see the whole House of Black/Varsity Blondes thing and you actually enjoyed it. And you wanted to tune in this week to get a follow-up. And you got........zero follow-up. WTF? How do you keep people tuned in when you constantly do stuff like this? Would have been a perfect time to have Garrison get squashed by Buddy Matthews (who hasn't wrestled since March (!!!), then Julia Hart appear entranced, Pillman grabs her and whisks her away, and blah blah, you get it.

Absolutely, they need to figure something out with that. If they make a concerted effort to book the ROH travelling shows close to wherever AEW is touring (Chicago vs Milwaukee, Dallas vs Houston, Philly vs New York, etc), then their talent can quickly hop a plane to get to the AEW TV taping, then go right back on the road. It would suck to fly 2000 miles to TV in Phoenix, then 2000 back to Atlanta for the next show.
I get not using the guys out of injury concerns, but enough is enough. They're wasting the prime of some of these guys careers. I want AEW to succeed and grow, but this just ain't working.
