Whales and institutionals made sure everybody knew they were about to spread extreme fud related to the merge. I can't count the numbers of (((articles))) they paid to announce they were about to dump all their eth bags.
The goal is obvious : they wanna force retail to sell, then make a giant slurp once we reach 3 digits territory, then they will have the full monopoly over nodes' rewards.
So yes, technically all the whales are dumping their eth, but it will be short lived.
The smart move is to sell now, refuse your body the right to rest for the next 72h, then slurp it back for a 33% discount (let not be too greedy) at the right timing.
