team rocket is the only good team because they had actually believable motivations. they just wanted to make money. they'd steal peoples pokemon and then bring them to the casino so gamblers could use their winnings to buy stolen pokemon. every evil team besides team rocket is cringey shit.

Nothing the story in pokemon games was never good.

All of the evil teams kind of suck when you actually look at them.
Team rocket were petty thugs but are all super incompetent even there boss kind of just eats ass.
Gen 2 they are even lamer.
Gen 3 is this a joke?
Gen 4 was an attempt.
gen 5 was also an attempt but still fell into the main bad being generic, it would have been better if he did believe what was said to some extent but still used N as a pawn, still not that great.
gen 6 is just under cooked
gen 7 probably had the best one in ather foundation team skull are actually just a joke
gen 8 is another joke but I tolerate less because they did that already
I hate how they just copy and paste everything and when they do make a change they start copying and pasting that instead until those games lose all semblance of an identity.

Anyone who thinks that Team Rocket was on par with Gens 7+ teams are insane. Rocket may of had the most grounded goals between Gen 3 - 6 teams, but they were still a serious organization. They were criminals that beaten a pokemon to death, took over an entire city, building and radio station, kept people as hostages and were responsible for Mewtwo's creation. They weren't edgy kids trying to fit in while speaking slang and worshipping their female higher up. The stakes were high for team organizations then, but now they're seen as absolute jokes meant to prop up the twist villain of the story.
