If you don't own a Mercedes you're a sore loser

Own a Mercedes or stay a sore loser.

Here in Crete, it's a taxi drivers' car, the lowest of the low in the social ladder.

>dabs on German """engineering"""

Mercedes, Porsche, BMWs is now:

(S-Class, GT, AMG), (911, G[S/T][x]), (7-series, M)

Please update world-view accordingly.

Regards, /o/.

Does Mercedes even make good cars anymore?

How’s living in Crete, I’m visiting in a couple months. Trying to decide where to stay between that, Mykonos, and any of the other islands. Already have a month booked in Athens.

the AMG stuff is pretty cool. everything else seems like a poorfag cope, especially the $30-40k a class and c class sedans aimed squarely at mentally retarded wagecucks who want to fantasize about driving a MERCEDES like a RICH GUY.

I much prefer the look and aesthetic of mine

I owned 3 cars , last one a luxury BMW. if you take pride in owning a nice car you are plebtier. I sold my luxury car in 2020 and never bought a new one. the time you could get girls by having a nice car was 20 years ago.

Audi/Porsche master race checking in. Mercedes for neuveau "rich". Audi and Porsche are for real enthusiasts.

>probably a basic non AMG shitter
>probably leasing it

I prefer BMW. My M3 rapes.

Crete is like visiting a small country (thicc size). Almost all other islands you can see in a day. I know people who were coming here for years and still didn't see it all.

They are no longer complete shit like int the early 200s (diversity hiring, and change of company police from an engineer-based to shareholder-based cost-cutting operation.)
The general rule of thumb is, last real "Benz" is stuff like the W140 series. Early W220 are garbage, current models depends on the exact model what to expect.

The taxi drivers have them because Mercedes can go a million kilometres

Would you recommend spending December - January in Crete for New Years? I’ve got plans booked til December, trying to figure out where to spend New Years while I’m in Europe. Thinking about somewhere in Greece or maybe Spain/Portugal.

Rent a car and drive along or to the west coast. Balos beach and Elafonissi beach are world class. If you want to stay in a city for a while just drive to Chania

In Germany it's more a tradition/ride-comfort thing.
Reliability, as mentioned earlier is a mixed-bag these days. An generally not possible to the same extend as modern compression/injection of engines fuel consumption emission standards remove the option to have a reliable overbuilt engine at reasonable cost.

Nah I'll stick to my Type R GT, thanks for the suggestion though.

Cars peaked at this design. Same with the 60-70's corona/corolla/bluebird

The one true car. Play tripalowski hardbeat and every person on the planet will respect you.
