How am I suppose to move out of my parents' house? I'm a eurofag working in IT in Ireland, I only started working and my starting salary is 40k. I looked at the average salary for my job and its only 55k. The average rent here is around 2k now a month and I'd need around 60k to move out and be able to pay all my expenses according to all my calculations. How tf am I suppose to move out of my parents' house and also why tf are IT jobs paying so shit, I thought the average starting salary was 60k and the average overall salary was like 80k to 90k. I looked at all the top paying IT jobs btw and they're all similar to my salary range. How tf do people even move out nowadays. Even if I were to save up money it would be spent all on expenses within 2 to 3 years if I'm making below 60k. Someone explain to me how I make it.

why is America the only country with a functioning tech industry? hmm
>paying code monkeys 10x the average salary is "functioning"
lol
Wagies are subhuman
Don't move out, why would you willingly go pay rent to some asshole when you could live rent free and save that money? Don't be a retard.
Save everything you can and invest heavily, sacrifice for 8 years and then move out into your own home fully paid, no mortgage.
how do you plan on sustaining your tech development if you do not pay the developers? is Euroland trying to collapse on purprose? perhaps they miss the middle ages
This, or save up until you can put enough of a down payment on a home that it allows you to easily affords the monthly mortgage. As long as your parents are OK with you continuing to live at home, as long as you're working toward a noble goal like home ownership, I don't see why they wouldn't.
Otherwise your only other options are getting roommates, making more money, or moving someplace cheaper. Doesn't sound like you can afford to live alone on your current salary.
They want you to work 2 jobs, to increase productivity, solve the labour shortage, increase profits. It's a shift thats already normalized in burger country but now sipping through in the rest of the western world.
Renting is a bad idea, you may want to buy a place directly, even if it's a shitty 20 sqm apartment. At least you're saving money.
Because of pressure from my parents now that I'm working, boomer mindset that cannot be changed whatsoever especially my father. I also too wouldn't mind moving out, I'd love to live on my own and finally start my adult life.
explain your plan to them. And in fact it would be better to do what he says ...that is tell them you're only saving up enough for the down payment on a mortgage. Then once you have that money saved move into your own home and pay for a house instead of just throwing money away on rent. Saving for a down payment should be much quicker.
OP works in a call center
I would do that but idk how mortages work and I don't want to end up in a bad deal or ending up buying a shit house. My parents also won't help me since they say they're too busy and I have to figure out things on my own.
You just started you lazy shit. In two years you'll be on 60-70k.
Also how can average rent be 2k in Ireland??
Lad, stay at home and save. Shit is about to hit the fan in a big way here. If you can keep your job through this then you'll come out in a great position on the other side. You're only going to get some mouldy shithole in Dublin, and have to live with retards, and you'll pay out your arse for the privilege. And for what? So you can have a few cans or stay up late without your ma getting on to ya? Fuck that. Save your money and go to a friend's house if you want to do that. Let the fools waste their money. You'll be paying nearly as much for electricity by itself with the way things are going anyway.
just know that money spent on rent is a pure waste, you end up owning nothing at the end of the day. Some people pay rent their whole lives.
Ireland is a very expensive place to live. I don't know about 2k being the average in Ireland, but it's not far off. And you'd be lucky to get literally anywhere in Ireland to rent these days. There's people with good wages and steady jobs going homeless here because there really isn't anywhere to live.
Because America has money printer go brrrrrr propping up tech shares
Ouch, that's crazy. Ireland is barely populated. I had heard it had been steadily getting more expensive. Companies that moved there for cheap labour ended up moving away after a decade.....
We just took in a ridiculous amount of Ukrainian refugees too. We don't have space for our own people and our government did this. Nothing against the Ukrainians, but it's caused a real crisis. It was already a crisis, but now it's so much worse.
We could solve it by building more houses, but most of our construction workers left for higher wages and better opportunities abroad. That, combined with the increase in material costs is leading towards disaster.
Oh, by the way, loads of companies are still here because we give them enormous tax breaks in exchange for jobs
Stay home for a year or two, if your parents are fucking kikes get a deal to pay them a rent.
After two years just move out to somewhere cheap, no way the average rent is 2k for a 50 sqm apartment everywhere in Ireland.
I'm in a middle sized city in France in a good location and I only pay a third of that.
