You just don't get it. Do you have any idea how valuable the very first original file of picrel is? Lost to time. Sure you can go back in the archives and dig up older less fucked up, less compressed, less artifacty versions of this Pepe (there is a very clean high res looking one -- I have that one -- but that's actually a remake!!), but you can't prove any older one you find is the true original -- it's THAT lost by now.
In stark contrast, with this Mumu-Bobo pic however the original was just very recently (compared to the Pepe) posted, just a few months ago, and we have a chance now to secure it before it gets lost and "replaced" by inferior versions. It's extremely likely that at least 1 user browsing Any Forums right now in this very moment has that original file.

By the way, here is a gif demonstrating that the easy-to-find high-res Pepe is indeed a remake (and not the original which the later bad looking ones originate from). It was vectored over the bad quality superduper compressed artifacty one. You can see several areas that are different and not different due to compression but due to different lines being drawn.
