Looks like they got someone to slightly better replicate Sugimori's style this gen; the linework looks better than it has the past couple generations (especially gen 7).

It wasn't Turner who did the art, at least not in Gen 7. It was Ohmura. Sugimori did the Alolan forms, though. I'm not sure who did Gen 8, but it did look closer to Sugimori than Gen 7, so maybe it was him.
