What will be the effect of crypto regulation on web3 and DeFi?

Regulation is centralization.

Yes, not too good for the system, but how willl ir affect the industry?

More projects will move their websites to decentralized hosting, like some already have. True decentralization will survive, fair launch projects will get more recognition

Split crypto into centralized shit and true decentralized shit

The prices will tank, the market cap will drop, a lot of women will leave their men for real estate guys.

Regulated cefi exchanges will rise upon the shoulders of trillions of new boomer dollars, now confident they can invest in crypto with some assurance

Regulation will sabotage crypto growth, but it will curb crmininal activities in the space

This is already what many companies are working on but crypto regulation could go two ways.
1. Regulation brings more trust in the system, more institutional investors ape in and the overall market cap shoots up.
2. People get angry because they are no longer in sole control of their money and transactions, they leave the market and the prices crash.

do not buy RLC it is not a web3 or defi coin whatever you do do not buy RLC it is a scam

Yeah, but a lot of 'illegal' transactions are what make a bulk of the transactions, I guess.

That's an advantage to some investors but a disadvantage to many, because many will be mandated to pay high taxation, since their transactions/holdings are public

For real?
Do you mean illegal transactions makes the cypto boom?

Don't know if web3 will survive with regulation.

Tornado cash and XMR have shown that it's true.

The question is will privacy still exist?

How did XMR make that truth? We have a long way to go when it comes to privacy.

I think some countries are regulating already and it's going fine, It's mostly to protect the population.

Stop being a fag and think it's all about illegal transactions when they talk about privacy.

There's nothing fine about regulation. This is the reason for decentralization.

Definitely, web3 can't be effective without privacy, but such privacy project must have some auditable features, otherwise, it will be blacklisted like Tornado cash, and only few privacy project has such features

There are a few with such auditable features already. Just make your research.
