Redpill me on shopping for diamond rings. I know, I know
>diamonds
but I dont want to subject my girlfriend to my autism in the form of a diamondless ring. Is there a better deal than bluenile? How common/good are black friday sales? Are 'clarity enhanced' diamonds worth it? Trying to keep it to around $1,500

literally the biggest scam on earth, intrinsically worthless rock that is only valuable because one company owns the entire worlds supply and brainwashed the entire world over several decades that they are worth anything. If you are with a woman that actually gives a fuck about diamonds literally what are you doing

I hope this is just a gift and not an engagement ring OP.

Google how diamonds are classified by size, clarity, cut and other parameters and how they affect price. Size is not the only important one to consider, a lot of sellers will try to sell you a larger low quality stone, even though it will look subpar. It's always better to buy in the optimal price-quality range, not the best and not the worst, but a bit better than average.

scam

Just get a cubic zirconium ring and get the last laugh when she tries to sell it to a pawn shop after she divorce-rapes you.

this might be the best answer on this AIDS website

She tells me she doesnt care, but I dont want her to get ridiculed by other women at work

No. Blue Nile is a scam, and most diamonds that you should look to buy are synthetic diamonds. They are real, man-made diamonds that come from a lab with the desired carat, cut, color, and clarity which are your 4 C's of diamonds. It will save you a ton of cash and are legitimately real diamonds. HOWEVER: make sure that any diamond you buy has a GIA certification. Any other is, quite frankly, a scam.

t. Worked in the gem and jewelry trade for 20 years

Buy one from a pawn shop
That's what I did

Moissanite if you want it to look like a diamond, or some other type of gemstone if she's cool with that. My girl cared more about the ring design than the stone, but they're cheap for the size.

I bought one on ebay... certified divorced milfs old ring

Don't get married

ask her boyfriend

>buying a cursed ring
You are destined to be cucked

I used a company called "forever artisans" to make a custom engagement ring. My wife has really understated taste in jewelry, and I couldn't find anything like what she wanted (a band of metal with gems recessed into it until they were level with the surface). Basically, I made a terrible paint drawing, wrote up a description, and found some examples online that had elements we wanted, and sent it into them. Then they translated it into a CAD design, got my approval, and had it done in a few months. $2000 and change got her a heavy little piece of platinum with orange sapphires.

All their stones are lab made, so your biggest cost is going to be based on the metal and their labor. I went for platinum because she doesn't wear yellow gold, b right now platinum is trading at like half the price of gold, so you may be able to save a bit there as well.

nice. do something like that OP but please dont fall for the diamond scam

Diamonds dont always hold they're value....but a name brand jewelry can definitely can fetch most of ur money back in the event you need to sell it. For rings I'd go with the lowest tier cartier you can get. It might be a little above your price, but it'll be like a "Rolex", someone will always be willing to buy it second hand.

Godspeed user, Dont get fucked in a divorce like a Fag.

Costco has good diamond rings at reasonable prices and you won't get ripped off.

I work in the jewelry industry ill red pill you..

Buy a lab made diamond or even a moissanite.
A lab diamond is chemically indistinguishable from a natural diamond, lab diamonds have much less impurities.
The same diamond that costs 20k natural is 5k lab.
Moissanite is also popular, it actually shines better then diamonds 2.65 refractive index vs 2.5, and moissanite is very similar in hardness 9.5 mohs vs 10 mohs for diamonds.

There are actually suckers who pay 200% more for a lower quality diamond... It gets even worse when they they buy natural SI diamonds in poor color and SI (slight inclusions) quality for 10k when a much better looking lab made VS diamond with D color costs 3k.
Resale value for diamonds is also horrible, its common for wives to freak out when the pawn shop only offers them 200-500 for the wedding ring they got for 5000
I really want to emphasize this for my Any Forums bros.

Diamonds have a shady history with predatory marketing "oh but you really love her dont you user"?
A women literally cannot tell the difference between a 10000$ diamond vs a 100$ moissanite, they only care about thinking that youre willing to spend that much money on them.
Indians know whats up with this, its objectively far better to buy her 10000 worth of gold then a shiny diamond which holds little value.

Ngl tho diamonds do look awesome when glittering in the sun or as negroes like to say shits hittin bussin

Which is cheaper a lab grown diamond of similar quality, or a moissanite equivalent one?
