Where do you start with the anime?

episode 1 retard

Watch the first season and then stop

I started with the current tournament arc for some cheap entertainment and will probably drop it right after because the show itself is ass, I just want to see the big fights

i don't really know but don't watch PM because it's boring as shit and the only thing it has going for it is fanservice

I watched the first two episodes last night for the first time since I was an actual child and they're actually well-paced and funny.

start with the first episode and drop it once the orange islands arc starts

here's the common vp consensus for the best series, watch these
DP, SM, OS, AG
currently
PM/JN
stay away from
BW, XY

>ends
ftfy

orange islands was boring filler shit

But isn't XY where Ash gets BIG KISS
BIG SMOOTCHI

thats the whole anime user

The original, no questions about it.

That's where Pokemon left most of its soul.

AG is below XY.
If you like DP, it's worth checking out XY.
If you like season 1, season 7 may be worth it too, on the more episodic side of things.

5 is bad, 3 isn't bad, just average. 2 is worse than average, but the aesthetic can be nice. I have a bit of nostalgia for 2 but, it really isn't best. Dubbing was better in the 90s than now overall.

I really like XY but it attracts contrarians, people who are overzealous shippers and people who are overzealous antishippers and people who liked to rub it in how it ended and people who think it's the best and people who hated. It had a controversial/or straight up bad ending. Just ignore the fans and antis and make of it what you will. If there's nothing you take from it, it does have nice, beautiful action/battle scenes.

Start with episode 1. Watch up to episode 78. Stop watching there. There is a common misconception that following episode 77, that there was to be another round of tournament matches. This is due to a mistranslation error. Ash won the Indigo League when Muk knocked out Jeanette's Bellsprout. Episode 78 isn't mandatory, it's a sort of fillery epilogue episode which also suffers from poor translations which deadens its impact. But it's still worth watching. Some broadcasts mistakenly show next-episode footage implying that there is more to watch after episode 78. This is false and in fact was caused by a last minute film-splicing error intended for a commercial break. If seeing such a thing might make you waste time searching for an episode after-78, just skip episode 78 and stop watched at episode 77. The important, and really only, thing to remember is that there is nothing to watch after episode 78.

DP

If you're an adult and don't have autism and/or nostalgia for the anime, you're not gonna like it. Watch one of the 58 billion other anime in existence.

Watch the original series, skip the orange league, watch the johto season, the hoenn (AG) season and the sinnoh (DP) season, skip the entirety of the BW season, watch the XY season and then skip both the SM season and the Journeys season
If you want an even better experience, watch the dub until end of the hoenn season, then switch to a subbed version of the original Japanese version

>seething this hard
>talks like an tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist antivax who believes that the earth is flat

except you need to watch Kalos league to know how important that was
