Also interestingly enough, in the anime pokemon are given nicknames if more than one important trainer own the same species. Lana's Eevee is nicknames Sandy for this reason, but Chloe's Eevee isn't nicknames, just like May's and Serena's. I believe that's a hint that we are getting a new evolution in gen 9.

It's just been framed so weirdly this whole time, as an Eevee that WANTS to evolve, but doesn't know what to pick. It would be one thing if it wasn't really interested or if it seemed like it was leading up to it staying Eevee but that just doesn't seem to be the case, so if they do that everyone is gonna be pissed.
It really feels like it's leading up to there being a new eevee in this next gen but leaks SWEAR there's not new Eevee's.
I saw someone say there might be "past and future" forms for espeon and umbreon which I guess is cool??? Idk how that would tie in with koharu's eevee if that WERE the case though.
