I just like Gen I Mimic and I'm kinda sad that it got nerfed.

My Toise had Surf, Earthquake, Ice Beam and Skull Bash.

Most of the logic of his moveset was "the moves sound cool and look cool when performed in Stadium" but I did give it ice beam to deal with Lances Dragons.

if i can remember my blastoise set was

Hydro Pump
Blizzard
Earthquake
Mega Punch

>bubble
>water gun
>hydro pump
>surf

>pokemania craze of the late 90s
>blastoise reaches level 100 and i'm destroying all the neighborhood kids
>grown an attachment to my blastoise as i kinda "raised" it
>hydro pump
>surf
>earthquake to counter electricfags
>ice beam/blizzard forgot, def an ice move tho, didnt know it countered anything though just thought it sounded cool
>little bro releases blastoise by mistake, couldnt read
>heartbroken, i search the tall grass and surfed the waters in pokemon red for years hoping he's in the wild. mom noticed my melancholy
>literal villain origin story
>suicune appears relatively early and i manage to catch it
>suicune is by far my highest level pokemon and becomes my ace
>most beautiful pokemon i ever saw, and its mystique adds intrigue
>im fkn bulldozing the rest of the game with suicune, we become best buds
>older bro explains it's really rare i got suicune this early, asked if i did cheats or sometihng
>thats when i thought maybe it was my blastoise's spirit returning to me
>very comfy

when silver comes out, suicune appears relatively early*

>first gen 3 game was emerald
>did the entire game with level 100 blaziken with blaze kick, ember, overheat, flamethrower and 83 salamence that would've had some complete trash too

Blastoise players.
The forever betas
Not as bad as the glue-eating venusaur players but never as cool as the chad charizard players.

>Whirlpool
>Is a HM
>Is also weak as shit
Goddamn it, these sons of a fucking bitches.

My second run of Pokemon Red was done entirely with a level 100 Venusaur and I had fun doing that.

now thats some kino autism user

> Can learn aura-sphere
> Can only get the most use out of it in mega form
> GF: abandons megas for yet another battling gimmick

Unironically, that's not a bad moveset for ingame play.
Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam and Blizzard are strong moves that hit pretty much everything at least neutrally and Surf gives you a solid, reliable move when you don't want to waste time with a miss.

aura sphere squirtle.....very, very kino....

Don't you have a pipe to get stuck into

>2nd playthrough
>loved the Squirtle line so much i used it again
>put my Blastoise in the daycare
>go about my business catching and training other mons
>making progress in the game without realizing it
>suddenly it's e4 time
>realize my Blastoise is still in the daycare
>not enough money to get it out
>my team can barely even defeat Lorlei
>look throughout the entire game for trainers i missed fighting so i can get the funds for my Blastoise
>fought literally every trainer in the game except e4
>could never get my Blastoise out of the daycare
>forever stuck in limbo
>my heart was quickly sinking
>scream out noooooo while starting to cry a little
at that time i didn't even know about the Missing No. glitch. Squirtle was my favorite ever since i saw the original commercial with all those Pokemon on the bus. didn't even know what it's name was, i just loved turtles thanks to TMNT. so this moment from my childhood, is just one that sticks with me for whatever reason.
