yay or nay?
Yay or nay?
they're shittier than every mainline game.
A lot of fun, made me wish Double Battles were more common in the mainline games
I also liked XD's spin on Wild Pokemon
Awful games
Try one of the romhacks if you really want to play it, it might patch up some of the shittiness
game's interesting out of the fact that's it's different in the first place but I dislike the fact that they took the effort to make it 2v2 centric without giving you any toys to play with the format outside of maybe an EQ or a discharge here and there since gen3 learnsets are barebones and the main focus of the mon selection was on filling in the missing RSE/FRLG dex rather than giving you interesting tools
There are great hacks that give you access to weather settlers and abusers, widespread spread moves and spread move immunities and so, play those
I think they're pretty good games.
XD has a bit more too it with options and is easier, while I find Colosseum to be surprisingly difficult. Especially on my first one, such a massive power spike towards the end. I'd argue it was the hardest game at the time. It was also a neat alternative if you wanted more of that double battle flavor that felt lacking in ruby and sapphire.
Colo is a more engaging game, Gales plays slightly better. Both are worth checking out at least once if you like Gen 3.
Hands down best soundtrack of any pokemon game
Colo is the easy mode Darksouls of Pokemon.
I played these games in 2018 and they reminded me why I love Pokemon.
it's spelled "yea" you illiterate child
Wish the world itself had more exploration.
But man are the battles exhilarating
It just felt right when it released, Pokemon getting a full-fledged adventure on a home console, Pokemon finally being renowned as a big franchise.
Too bad all of it fell off with Gen Fo*r. Oh well.
>the battles that take 10 minutes to finish are "exhilarating"
Good to know the people who worship these games were hoenniggers all along
t. zoomer
I don’t know how privy you are to modding, but try alter of the sunne/moone. It’s a Gen 7 rom hack that makes all trainer encounters double battles.
>the battles that take 10 minutes to finish are "exhilarating"
Exactly.
The battles are detailed and the enemies don't really hold back.
The game rewards hard your game knowledge, by having you improvising with Pokemon teams you're not really used to, whether side that is for.
Sure, I wished the animations were slightly faster, but that's hardly a legitimate complaint.
It would be like saying "oh no le health bar go to slow, I am going to die". Come on now.
How does it reward game knowledge when the game hands you 2 of the best Pokemon in the game from the start that you can then sweep the entire game with?
>but that's hardly a legitimate complaint.
It is when all the battle time adds up and you're spending literal hours of wasted time for an unfun game that you can beat the same way as every other game in the franchise.
Why not just play a difficulty romhack that's harder, better made, and faster?
>sweeping the game with Espeon and a fucking Umbreon
thanks for the keks
You know how I can tell you've never even played the game you're worshipping? I made it purposefully vague to bait you, the answer was Espeon and Typhlosion.
Kill yourself zoomer, or play the game you pretend to love so much and see how shit it is
Yeah it is Espeon and Typhlosion. Whatever, you can choose to continue baiting.
Also, I have yet to see "a difficulty romhack that's harder, better made, and faster"
LMAO I can tell you're upset now. You okay buddy?
>I have yet to see
BBVW2 Redux, Inclement Emerald, Clover...
umbreon completely trivializes the game because it tanks everything and you can just spam toxic.
the people who think this game is ""hard"" are probbaly the retards who wasted exp on all the shitmons the game hands you like furret and noctowl.
>BBVW2 Redux
Actually have yet to try it, but hey I played Blaze Black 2 like a thousand times already. give me a break kek
>Inclement Emerald
Memeing, you're telling me the Hoenn version of "I put 900 Pokemon in a region that was conceived to have 300" is better made? Fucking lmao.
>Clover
Not a difficulty hack but probably the one that corresponds best to your "harder, better made, and faster" criteria. I mean it's good, we know already.
>I put 900 Pokemon in a region that was conceived to have 300" is better made
>"NOOOOO THERE'S TOO MANY POKEMON" vs. having better exploration, fights, and difficulty than Colosseum
Yes, I'd say it's better made.
You don't even disagree on the other ones. I'd play these games and several more a thousand times before I touch Trannyseum again.
>Trannyseum
obsessed
