I picked a retarded major for college (Biology) and I've decided to pivot careers and go to law school after I graduate to salvage it. Problem is my GPA is much lower at 3.4 than it would be if I had picked an easier, non-STEM major. If I get a good score on the LSAT, like 165+, will that be enough to offset the lower than average GPA and get into a decent school? And will being a Biology major be held against me at all while applying?

>law school

do a 2 year masters in accounting, get a big 4 internship, and grind out 3 years at a big 4 firm in audit. you'll have your choice of $100-125k/year jobs that don't require more than 40 hours a week.

t. graduated with a meme degree, considered law school, did accounting instead.

What's your issue with your Biology major? I just graduated with my degree in biology and am doing pretty well only a month later.

If nothing else, I can at least attest that your biology major won't be held against you by anyone. If somehow someone knows and cares, just tell them you were doing it to be pre-med and had a change of heart when you saw how much med school charged or whatever bullshit you wanna tell them.

So, a biology degree actually gives you a huge leg up over the masses of other lawyers IF you use it correctly. A biology degree qualifies you to sit for the patent bar, unlike 98% of lawyers with their poly sci bullshit degrees. If you can pass the patent bar (it's a real killer) you are in the money. A law degree by itself isn't worth shit unless you graduate near the very top of a good law school.

Can I get into a decent accounting masters program with a 3.4 GPA in Biology? I thought your undergrad had to be related to what you were getting a masters in?

I go to a liberal arts college and my degree will be a Bachelors of the Arts, does that mean I won't be able to take the patent bar?

there are colleges that offer accounting masters specifically for career changers. google it. or if there are none nearby, you can take classes online or at a community college until you have the prerequisites for a masters program.

the important part in this is making sure you go to a school with good on-campus recruitment for internships.

Damn, she looks like the kinds chick to use the poophole loophole to preserve her virginity.

You don't need a good accounting program, you just need one that will make you eligible to take the CPA exam. Firms will give all kinds of people a chance if they are CPA eligible since there is such a high turnover rate among associates.

Economics or finance if somebody wants to eventually start their own investment firm?

Should’ve just studied math. That would’ve given you a good pivot into any field you wanted, regardless of GPA(assuming you’re a grad)

Unironically claim to be black on your application. I'm serious. I know it's a meme but for law school it actually helps a LOT. And they don't "verify" like med school does

>BA in Biology
what the fuck. how is this even possible. there is not a university in my country who doesnt offer Biology as BSc

no, don't waste your time on either of those

What's the difference faggot
