Nice picture description.

Pokemon isn't even a true competitive game, its just a farce to make CHARIZARD look good.

Charizard sucks in comp.
This meme is boring.

That's not true at all, charizard is actually serviceable in singles baring it's forms. Venusaur is better but charizard can preform well with the right support.

It's a shame, because the foundation is quite good, but hax completely invalidates everything. It's not as if getting a random crit/flinch/freeze is necessary for the game's complexity, either: in fact, these things more often than not shift the momentum in the other player's favor arbitrarily. If the game was to be taken seriously, at all, then the move list would need a massive tweaking. Until then, it was always be a joke game that randomly punishes players, regardless of their winning/losing position.

Agreed.
The sheer amount of customizability makes Pokemon an interesting competitive game even in spite of all of its RNG.
It could be kino if randomness was minimized.

??? MegaY and Gigamax are among the most used mons in competitive

This. Max Wildfire and instant sun are busted

No joke I got into competitive during SM and it really introduced new world of Pokemon to me. Before when I'd battle friends I'd just use legendaries or game teams with no real team comp or strategy.
6x6 singles, while frustrating at times, is definitely unique among the Pokemon media.

It sounds like you need rape correction

The only kind of competitive battling I ever did was use a full team of action replay legendaries and absolutely whooped my brother so hard he threw his ds and broke it.

I also did battles at school some I won some I lost, but it just wasn't the same.

IVs? Never heard of them

i used to play a lot of MTG in school, started collecting pokemon recently and looked into competetive decks n shit but yeah it's not very good, mainly because the trainer cards make everything predetermined and boring.

Charizard is only good with its forms.
Without them, it's outclassed by Typhlosion.

What if I like Pokémon PvP because I think PvE doesn't make use of its depth and mechanics?
