The refusal of increasing interest rates and now the surpass of the dollar on the euro are just sings that a structural reform of the eurozone is needed, or they make a fiscal union or the euro is done and a return to national currencies is necessary, this situation is unsustainable on the long term.

why not just kick out germany?

because then the euro just ceases its function as a geopolitical tool that was intended by the french when it was created

Wow it's almost like people were warning for years that a shared currency spread across multiple varied economies without a united fiscal and monetary policy was not a good idea

Please kick us out yes
We are the one affected most negatively
If we are out then finally the Euro can become the new Lira since the rest has extreme imports surplus. The euro would be 30 cents in 2024 likely

>this situation is unsustainable on the long term
why?

Why would a weak euro be bad? It's good for exports, especially cars.

because EU is not China, much of the exports of eurozone countries is intra-eu (so no advantages to export to other countries) but a low value euro means that imports to make this kind of products are a lot more costly so in the end, imports prices go up, exports don't change, and in the end EU companies end up paying more but not getting any benefit whatsoever

Because the EU is basically an extension of Germany, if Germany goes so does the union and the elite really doesn't want that

It's amazing. Not only is Russia gaining ground in Ukraine, but the EU is committing suicide trying to hurt Russia. The liberal international economy must die.

This. The writing was on the wall that the Euro would prove untenable at least a decade ago. It proved a liability post-2008 and it's a liability now again.

true, with the exception of maybe Germany's car industry

fiscal union sounds good BUT the german government, always equally retarded whoever it is, must not be allowed to have any say in it.

It's time to reform because this shit ain't working any longer.

They will never raise interest rates because Germany is under theat of de-industrialization due to their catastrophic energy and geopolitical policies. They would rather make the Euro worthless than lose power and influence over the eurozone.

>gaining ground in Ukraine
jej

It is almost WW1 tier slow but they are still gaining ground

>Now the fun begins
Just wait until winter.

No, the front has been remarkably stable the past two months.

Why germany didnt go hard years ago for Nuclear energy is what tragedies are made from.

So, what’s the endgame here. They don’t want a war of attrition, right? Does Russia wait until the west stops funding, arming the Ukraine or what. Are they even fighting anymore

Russia is likely building up forces and make a push in winter. The media is trying to say Russia is losing and demoralized, but their somewhere of influence is increasing in the region which is all Putin cares about. Also Russia has proven time and time again over generations that they will throw bodies at the front until they achieve what they want. They will continue to grind until they finish what they started
