There is a 1% fee to deposit into the farm. 45% of this fee is used to burn $DEO token, 35% is used to burn $CERES token, 10% goes into the CERES/DEMETER treasury and 10% goes to the CERES/DEMETER team. All the detail can be found in the Demeter Litepaper

Supply was increasing without any control and it stopped thanks to the updates, this actually shows they are looking at ways in how to deal with the problems of the parachains, really exciting stuff
The demeter litepaper still lacks some details, and i think it's still too early to judge deo arena seeing as they at least got hold of the price of the token and so far it hasn't had a downpoint as the PVU debacle, so that's nice We are into interesting territory right here, hope to see more generals like this one, xor is hardly looked upon biz

I get what DOT, XOR and DEO are supposed to be, but what the fuck is XST and what does it have to do with polkadot?

temk My understanding is that XSTUSD is algorithmic based stable coin. Terra / Luna algorthmic approach to stabelcoin failed. What im curious about is how do mechanics XSTUSD differentiate themselves from this recent failure?

I think it was probably quite the same. But never took off because of the timing. That what saved XOR in a way.
But SORA took a hit nevertheless. Doesn't also look like network is usable on its own yet. Polkadot still in development after 2 years, which i think it's good on its own because it constantly updates and the devlogs are actual info about the development
So XSTUSD architecture needs to be rethought, because there is nothing to back it up with. Unless you start wrapping up other assets from different chains into XOR and back up XSTUSD with it.
