Machamp got a gigamax form but it wasn't anything special. There's also now so many fighting types that have higher base attack than the champ. Sadly I don't think he'll get any gimmick so soon

i could let conk go because at least conk was designed to be the new regional musclemon. But mons like sirfetchd outpeaking the champ's based attack is like a slap in the face

That's because G-Max Chi Strike was arguably worse than Max Knuckle. Considering how powerful some G-Max moves are (Wildfire, Vinelash, Smite, etc.) they did him dirty. If G-Max Chi strike was +2 crit chance instead of +1, heck, even if it didn't stack like it currently does, it'd have been better. Being able to, in one move, boost someone to a 50% crit chance (or 100% with a +crit item/+crit move) would have made him competitive without making him broken. You'd still need speed control, and your partner would still need to run an item that only helped them when next to Machamp.
