pla had pretty samey customization but at least your player could tumble about and was probably done to avoid pantsu shots
since sv won't have pla mechanics like that though i find it hard to excuse the lack of player customizaton

Imo no it didn’t. It has a complete drop off from even XY. Those jerseys were hideous and they didn’t add more outfits until way later.

Their same old gimmick of scrapping a good feature to make each new game 'unique' probably.

Probably a mix of wanting to avoid lewd angles (since you can apparently move the camera during battle in SV, just like PLA) and wanting to be in line with the "theme" of the game being schools
