Sudden influx of Zubat had me catching a ton like I was when the game first came out and I was excited to add Crobat to my collection. Now that I can check IVs to see which one will be the best for any kind of battling, my collection of candies might actually be used on the best one of the bunch. Same with H. Voltorb, I made use of all those Pinap berries and I got over 100 candies in one day. I don't do competitive or anything like that, I just like Electrode and Crobat.

There is literally no way for us to know which ones will be good. Something like Sandile CD, for example, could either be a complete waste of time by only learning something like Sand Tomb or Dragon Claw, it could be meta-warping by giving it a new top-tier ground-type move like Sand Attack, Stomping Tantrum or Scorching Sands, or it could just be a mediocre, overall waste of time by only getting Shadow Claw/Brutal Swing for PvP or some other bullshit reason.
Personally, I have high hopes for Timburr, Venipede, Sandile, Klink and Vanillite. Most other things are virtually guaranteed to be PvP-focused movesets only.
