zoo is the shitcoin or HEX of TCGs. You missed the boat on vintage magic and pokemon. You could gamble on yugioh but it's a big gamble. Your best bet is to just buy sealed boxes of magic. Try to sit on them for 5 years, in that time perhaps a lotto card becomes highly valuable from that set, and you could crack a couple boxes. Either way you're going to be lugging around boxes of cards for years and years. They also aren't friendly to the elements.

Ive always found it weird how magic and pokemon have always been on the hype/investment train but yu gi oh always kept lagging behind. In my eyes they are the 3 biggest in the scene, and with an anime I dont see how yu gi oh dont have at least some nostalgia pumps every few years. From what ive heard it always had problems with power creep, could that be the reason?

Metazoo is a good hold but only on the older stuff like CN1 and even NF1. Wilderness was fine but didnt have much for big ticket cards, UFO is fine too because the cards are a big improvement to the quality.
having some of the older product and any of the promos that come out is a good play but I wouldn't be buying boxes right now. Just promos when they pop up.

MetaZoo has an appeal that other games like Flesh and Blood and Sorcery lack. The buzz around it makes me think that MetaZoo is gonna be the next big one. I can see it flipping YuGiOh over the next 10 years, honestly. I am unironically getting 1999 Pokemon vibes
