This. I was a teen during the 80s in California and it was a completely different place. I live on the East coast now but occasionally fly over to see family and it pains me to see whats become of my old neighborhood. What was once a clean and cozy suburb is now littered with garbage, graffiti, and hoodlums lazing about on the sidewalk.

Seems to be the fate of any idyllic "it" state. Gets flooded with trash and rejects chasing the trend.
