I think it would be common regardless from the degeneracies of irl humans, cause Pokemon are just so variegated, humanoid and very compatible with humans, and especially they're superior than humans and in a real situation they would pretty much always prevail it wouldn't be like taming normal animals. So they're like godly creatures, stronger, good looking, and would be morally righter to sexualize the ones that have human features (btw unlike animals they also have human expressions)

Why in God's name do you people keep asking these inane questions? The Pokémon world is an idealized world constructed for children in mind. As such we shouldn't assume people are as cruel as to molest the local wildlife. Most are just very smart pets. They only few that actually can go toe to toe are humanoids and most psychic types, a lot of fully evolved too

The Pokemon world doesn't have to be one thing, especially because it's not idolized at all when it's clearly a dark depressive world only KINDA happygolucky in the pov they show you or that of the protagonist (but not really when you have certain Pokedex descriptions and "da evil guys" in every damn region of the planet). It may be happygolucky in the pov of an autistic american child, but not normally, not by origins (and yes, it's been made more childish by Nintendo's demand, but it has the remains of the dark story it was supposed to be where pokemon are heavily abused with whips), and most importantly pokemon are abused, so i don't see the platonic love in a world where pokemon are slaves for battles.
Sex with magical literal godly creatures that are the remains of the gods of the pokemon dimension unlike humans that lost their powers, are often bigger than humans, are humanoid and have human expressions, can speak and can literally communicate like a human or to certain humans. The series treats all Pokémon with equal intelligence, even in the anime. This is why the argument about intelligence never goes anywhere. I can show you an episode in the anime of the whole Abra line being portrayed as stray animals and also show you episodes with an octillery chef or eevee's acting as waitresses. Generally the series is more concerned with consistency and as such doesn't make major distinctions between Pokémon except in the cases of special storylines. Even terms like humanoid mean nothing within the context of the Pokémon world, bodyplan doesn't amount to much on how Pokémon are portrayed or perceived. For example almost no Pokémon is shown constantly talking except for two examples, an Alakazam is just as much of a mute as a pidgey when communicating with people.
This is the way the Pokémon world is constructed and the context you have to work with when asking these inane questions. It's very telling when the series doesn't recognize any Pokémon as a person and opts to treat their identity as Pokémon as the most important aspect of their identity and portrayal.

He actually pushed for a good point because that's what most people believe when looking at pokemon, most people in the same pokemon world believe and overall a reflection on the real world where people want to believe things are fine and peaceful when most creature are abused, included most humans and even themselves. Since that is literally how BW story ends and sentences said by Nanu, Samina and Mai that pass as "da edgy person that ruins da fun" but in reality are like the few people irl that have any care towards the abominations that happen daily.
I like Gamefreak cause themselves could pass with the fact that pokeballs are fine and also dismantle PETA argument against the franchise (if it even matters), yet they make an entire games story based on it and even after it ends in pure hypocrisy and weakness they keep giving hints to it being wrong, and even canonize the 90s description of pokeballs forcing drugs onto pokemon lol.
