It's a narrative to undercut the actual reasons for the wars.
If you believe that the Nazi economic system was reliant upon war to keep itself propped up, then you are now ready to believe that the Nazis were wedded to an endless series of expansionist wars just to stay afloat. It's obviously absurd but it fits in with the "objectively evil" Star Wars motif that normies love to lap up.
