A quarter of these are straight up lies, there is no training, 10% of these are completely off screen. 3 of them feature less then a minute of training, and its just the mon practicing the move, not perfecting aiming, speed, or maneuvering. The vast majority of the true examples of Ash training are just a scene introduction before he's pulled away for the training to do something else with Goh. Dracovish has battled like three times in well over a hundred episodes and now he's fighting champion trainers, I beg of you to stop defending bad writing because you dislike XY. It's just sad.

I remember when that Gryphon lied about Greninja returning in the Articuno episode and then deleted his account for like a weeks. Then came back as if nothing happened.

NTA but isn't weekly misadventures and stories about Pokemon better than heaps of training episodes? I mean, we're well beyond the days of shitty forest filler. Most 'fillers' since 2013 have been well written, feel good, and funny, often feeling more concise and satisfying than the 'epic' climactic stuff.

Imagine Ash having to train a mon how to fly and then that same mon battling champions 2 weeks later. PM is an asspull, dragonite has no talent. Noibat was shit and jobbed every battle as a result
