Ignore, the merge wont happen, a fatal flaw will prevent the merge delaying it a month. In the hours following news of the failure BTC and ETH will dump. The intended BTC target it between 14k-17k if possible.
They hope to get it down that low and pump it right after before our Ship launches the strike on the nuclear plant. later this year.

The dev call discussing the merge mentioned that Ethereum has a censorship feature. You could probably get a pump but I'm not risking it. I traded for BTC when Eth was pumping a week ago. Who knows if the merge will happen and if it does, it's only a matter of time when something goes wrong. I don't think any of the L1's are going to make it long term. They are all too centralized. The answer is probably tokenless layer 2 on Bitcoin.
