Will the merge make ethereum pump like crazy? Or will it just dump and lose sats?

it will pump.
It will go straight to 20k
there will be volatility around the merge date. because its fucking exciting.
but honestly i think the real gains will come later. it'll be like a btc halving where the effects will be felt months later. but on steroids.
Proof of Stake gives the coin an actual value: your control of voting power. If you want more control, you need more ethereum. I foresee it going up. Time will tell.
Everyone and their mother is saying it’ll pump, therefore it will dump.
what do you think it's been doing this entire year?
it's effectively topped out before the merge even happened, a successful merge is close to being fully priced in
dump
Normies are already priced out of a staking stack
It doesn't. PoW is what gives it value, since miner has to pay for the electricity and hardware to mine it. PoS kills coins and mETH won't be different.
Regardless of whether they can gain voting power or not, the principal behind why the value would go up is still applicable. Buying 100's of coins at a time or 1/1000th of coins at a time is the same: you're buying the coin.
It'll make ETC pump like crazy. Belee dat.
Yeah, okay. You're obviously just a speculator. The lowest form of cryptofag.
PoW made mining equipment more expensive, it’s both a control for resources.
Can I get an actual QRD on what the "merge" means for ETH? I don't have a position in ETH yet but I'm thinking of dropping 1K into it. If it's bullish then I want to get in soon.
Holy shit wait. Will ethereum move to PoS be bullish for Rocketpool?
it seems intentionally designed to pump ethereum, new issuance will be cut drastically and people will be locking up their ethereum to run nodes. it will either result in big pumps or kill the network, who knows.
also it's supposed to make later upgrades like sharding possible, which will increase throughput and reduce fees. who knows how long that will take.
thx breh. Think I may as well dump some money in it, it's not doing anything else for me right now.
Sharding is the big thing that is a possibility. Being able to run a node off of a phone is a pretty impressive feat. How long that work would take to fully implement and properly secure is a major task.
Wasted digits. What the fuck are you talking about? PoS makes Ethereum centralized. Have you ever looked into being a validator? Nobody wants to be a validator that's why most people give their eth to services like lido. The majority of validators is concentrated in a few hands. The merge devalues Ethereum and makes it the same as the other layer 1 shitcoins.
We shall see. Your argument is that people are too stupid and scared so it will be centralized. So you caused it to be centralized? Congratulations, you played yourself.
