normal and water types are extremely common so i think picking bibarel and as a start is good, plus its in the middle of all gens.

Fun game but I wish there could be something else to go off of other than height and weight
I always lead with Lumineon. It filters out the most common type, lets me know if something is monotype, and is right in the middle of the generations.
typing and gen
yeah but normal is also one of the most common types, so you filter more in one shot
I lead with quagsire, swampert, or infernape. The first two eliminate common types and the latter gives me a decent idea of what gen it is since gen 4 is almost in the middle
There's a lot more monotypes than there are normal mons.

After looking I think it must have been Zen Darmanitan, because the answer was also heavier than Sigilyph, and neither of Unova's mythicals fit that.
Did another and coincidentally got ANOTHER Unova psychic type.
I have decided that I do not like this game.
