this has been ongoing for Any Forums for at least 2 years now. Unova got shit on a lot out of the gate, but it mellowed out as the years passed only for nugenners to pick it up because it was being compared favorably to Kalos, Alola, and especially Galar.

Also, the evolutionary levels of a lot of the latter half of the dex were weighed exclusively around when you'd get them in B/W leading to the pre-evos basically sitting in your teams for ages in future titles.
