The thing I loved about this game is how casual it was about invadind neightbour countries and steal their land and resources. As if the lives of the people and pokemon there didn't mean shit at all.

I had a lot of fun with the buddy system; each person having a pokemon that they 100% clicked with was a fun concept and I enjoyed finding out who matched with what. Giving the main characters pokemon they aren't 100% compatible with and having you find it based on their outfits and personalities was great. Even the non-main characters with generic sprites had some inkling of personality based on the pokemon they click with. One of the better spinoffs.
