why isnt this a steel type or steel-electric type? Its a man made pokemon. They changed the magnemite line from gen 2 onwards so why not this robot duck?

It's made of computer data and manifesting into the real world. If anything it should be electric type since it's made of codes and bits and bytes. It would be the only Cyber type if that type existed.

Becasue it's not made of metal and doesn't have electric elemental properties

Because it's not made out of metal. It's silicon.

When I was a kid, I used to think that Porygon was an eraser because of its colors.

i feel like theyre discussing the pokemons mind/soul/conciousness in the pokedex entries. I know its a game but porygons body is obviously just a vessel. When they talk about it travelling through cyberspace i presume they mean when they plug porygon into a laptop via usb

Porygon 3 for the quantum age when?

Its gimmick is changing types (Conversion). Normal is just the "default" type.

silicon is a metaloid

Closer to a chemical silicate but we're splitting hairs at this point.

It goes in the screen

Porygon's body is data manifesting itself into a physical form

To enter cyberpsace, it physically changes itself back into data

thats retarded

>porygons body is obviously just a vessel
nah bro i don't think so.
the pokemon world already has the tech to change physical matter into data and back again, no reason they couldn't just start with the data and make it physical.

anime =/ games

It's pokemon

Correct they're the same

That's literally Porygon's lore. It was no better than a Microsoft Word clipart assistant before it manifested itself in the real world.

got to have some extent of realism, even if its minimal.

Disintegrating Pokémon into data, confining them in a miniature holographic environment, and then reconfiguring them back into their original size and biology at a moment's notice is so fucking far beyond the realm of realism that even most science fiction would balk at it.

feels like such lazy lore

They shrink and get stored in pcs, but you draw the linr with porygon? Intirduin the same gen as Bill becoming a pokemon?

develop porygon software -> download into a robot machine -> plug into laptop to have the pokemon explore the desktop etc. more grounded and believable, like it was developed to be sold (like at the game corner)

It's great, better than this trite nonsense from this brainlet

Fuck off dumbass, it's 25 year old lore

that was hot

lmao

It's never been a robot you zoomer

It's basically the opposite of storing Pokemon in PC's.
They start physical, get turned into data, and then are changed back to be physical when withdrawn. None of them become electric or steel type. They're just the way they were before.
Porygon just skips the first step. It was made of data from scratch and then withdrawn into the real world.

do you think porygon any sex anatomy? i know they cant reproduce but what if some of the data that it was made from was biological anatomy, mating behaviour etc

Maybe Porygon-Z. They're basically the erratic, virus-ridden knock-off. If the lore was it got infected with Pornhub emails, I'd believe it.

Why give it reproductive organs and risk it becoming an invasive species when you can just Ctrl+C Ctrl+V if you need more than one?

Based stroke poster

>Why give it reproductive organs
1st time here?
