yeah they're still ugly as fuck.

wow it’s almost as if that’s the point of the design or something…

brainlet

>t-they're supposed to be bad!

ugly design != bad design

Unironically, yes. Old Paleontology was exactly this. And to Cara Liss' credit, these are the only fossil revivals that don't still have the rock type floating around in their DNA.

uh yes sweetie

they are ugly and bad

>Cara Liss
how the fuck did I not notice the pun before

Arctozolt is super cute.

I only like the Arctovish because he at least feels that it's meant to properly carry the theme without needing to beat you in the head with it.

Here are two better ideas for the concepts they were trying to tackle

Old paleontology had a lot of mistakes
>Since the region is based on fucking England just rake the first two discovered dinosaurs Megalosaurus and Iguanodon
>Make their first forms resemble the original giant lizard shapes they were given
>They then evolve into modern shapes

Make fossilmons with interchangeable parts
>Make it an ornithopod
>When reviving it you can chose it's head to swap it's secondary type
>For example, the Parasaurolophus head makes it fire-type while Corythosaurus makes it grass-type

>DUDE I'M A CARELESS WHORE LMAO

congrats the entire concept is now lost and you just made it another boring cartoon animal. please never design pokemon in your life.

You are more uglier than them

>Make them start as the original incorrect designs and evolve into the proper ones
They're based on the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, as in dinos that were made up by accident. There is no modern iteration of those dinos, they never existed to begin with. Also that massively dates those Pokemon because there's a non-zero chance the "modern" design becomes obsolete anyways and the gimmick's ruined.
>Swap the parts
That's literally how they work already. Except even more fleshed out. You choose an Electric or Water head and a Dragon or Ice body. Each part even has their own stats and Ability that you mix and match to create the end result.

>that massively dates those Pokemon
Implying there's something wrong with it. Practically every single dinosaur depiction is dated for the time it was
>That's literally how they work already
On the surface yes, but by using actually similar dinosaurs you can make the "mismatch" more realistic with how it happened during the Bone Wars. Also the end result would look like an actual animal and not some retarded Frankestein's monster

>incorrect designs
That is the most stupid thing I ever heard Jesus Christ

>Practically every single dinosaur depiction is dated
Fossilmons are allowed to be dated, under normal circumstances, because they directly state the cloning process fucks them up. YOUR fossilmons aren't allowed to be dated because the whole fucking concept you're shilling is that they correct their design when they evolve. If they're obsolete then the whole thing doesn't make sense.
>More realistic
Crystal Palace Dinosaurs aren't realistic, dumbass, go look at how fucked up they are and how chimeric the designs got. There's shit like upside down skulls and pieces from entirely different dinosaurs (not even mistakably similar) where the structure is clearly mismatched. You take a fucked up and mismatched fossil structure and then clone it into a revived animal and it's going to look fucked up beyond belief, that's the whole god damn point.

enjoy your shitty soulless modern architecture goy
