>But guess who was also very immature? Misty. Never claimed she wasn’t. >Guess who was honestly quite pathetic as a pokemon trainer and battler? Misty. Completely untrue. In fact, Misty won nearly every battle she’s ever had. Besides Ash, she’s only lost to three other trainers and that was during the Whirl Cup, before Poliwhirl evolved, and against Giselle. Otherwise, Misty has won several battles against trainers throughout the series. >and who then had the gall to claim Ash only got the Badge because her sisters felt sorry for him. Considering they were tied up before Team Rocket wrecked the gym, it’s not like she didn’t have a point. >What a laugh. Yes I am honestly laughing at the fact that you have done enough mental gymnastics to convince yourself of your take. >Literally the only time misty did something impressive battle-wise in season 1 Misty barely got a chance to battle in Season 1, because the first season wasn’t focused on battling. It was when they left Kanto was when Misty got a more active role. Says a lot that you had to limit it to just season 1 lol.
>You're disingenuous No, I’m actually being as objective as possible. >implying Iris' Pokemon have established personalities when she caught them means she's a bad trainer They did though, and even after catching them she did nothing to address their differences. Emolga for instance debuted mischievous but also caring, and the episode later it showed it’s lazy side as well. Iris had problems with this but instead of doing anything about it, it was all completely ignored, and Emolga ended up developing with Snivy instead. Later on when she’s having problems with Emolga again, Axew and Meowth are the ones who teach her the lesson when it could’ve been addressed way earlier in the series.
>got not even half as much focus episodes. And still managed to have more development than Iris.
>As soon as Iris noticed Emolga's personality she immediately dealt with it She didn’t. Snivy did.
>Find a clip where Iris is bragging about being better than Ash Nearly every scene of her from her from the first 10 or so episodes she displays her superiority complex user. Stop being dense. >Misty's "story arc" was being less hot headed because she became a mother. No it was about owning into her role as a soon to be Gym Leader >don't make it seem like she embraced becoming a Gym Leader after her series concluded. Um what? She did. >There is no more a narrative reason to make her Champion than there That’s bad writing.

We already Iris loses due to October merchandise having Leon, Diantha, Cynthia, and Ash in it

So did we ever find out what move Gastrodon is using?
It's pretty obvious now the Goodra in that flashback was indeed Claire's, since if Iris had one the writers probably would have showcased it. And since Iris' Gible was shown in the flashback, she probably battled her with it.

We may have a flashback to Iris beating Flint, would be nice to see the Goodra there.
