Obsessed as a kid and teen then slowly turned casual since SM. I felt like the series wasn't for me anymore after Masuda's ORAS interview but I play new hacks and still come here occasionally. As for your second question I haven't played Arceus so I don't know what they changed.

Previously obsessed, it kinda died down when I realized they were never going to make that perfect game I wanted. Even though I know about some of the intricacies of evs and breeding, I feel like the execution has always been kinda shitty so I didn't mind them trying something different

I'm casual about it. I play the games because they're fun games. I look at pictures of cute pokemon like I look at real dogs and cats. It's something to do that makes me happy.
I loved arceus. First game that made doing a catch em all feel rewarding and worthwhile.

I'm super hardcore but I'm more on Any Forums out of habit than anything else, I haven't bought a game since SM and really only play UNITE now. I used to be 1000% down bad Pokeshill in Gen 7 though.

I didn't get PLA but would appreciate the change,grinding is cringe. Nowadays I only play hard mode Rom hacks where IVs don't exist,every single pokemon is crammed in and everything is usable,like radical red or inclement emerald. It's the most fun I have had with pokemon and no official game will ever scratch that itch
