Its funny because their headcanon has been destroyed one by one as the anime has progressed. First it was Cynthia isn't competing in the PWC, thats why Leon is still number 1. Then it was Leon can only win with Dynamax, again proven wrong when Leon beat a healthy Infernape easier than Cynthia did against an Infernape that had battled 2 mons prior to Garchomp. Then it was Leon is weak outside of Galar because other trainers can use a gimmick advantage, and now it looks like Leon has Mega Charizard Y (we've also seen numerous occasions where base mons can beat Megas).
