The animation was perfectly good. I don't know why you guys think it was done poorly. No pokemon looked off model and the attacks were well animated

The effect animation was ok, as always. The character movement, which is most important to a battle's animation and flow, was bad. Look at Gyarados' Dragon Pulse, Hydriegon's Flash Cannon, Gardevoir's Moonblast. They fire off the move and become a png. The choreography was also subpar as a result of this. The only part that looked somewhat decent was the touched up ME stock animation from XY.
