Boring ass design. Also Comp wise they are pretty boring.

Fuck off. The Regis are based and you actually have to solve puzzles to unlock them. Only the Genies come close to as bad as the Lake Trio and even they're still better IMO since even though their Incarnate forms are copy-paste designs, they're still not monotype Psychic Mew-clones released during a time when Psychic was already the most common type for Legendaries.

Perfect shitstorm.

Minimal design that might have had fans if there was just one of them, but dilutes the three of them tremendously.
Overshadowed by Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina in their own story.
Overshadowed by Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, and Cresselia as side legendaries in their region
Overshadowed by the mythical pixies for their shape and general body plan.
Heavily tied to Sinnoh, more difficult to move.
Two of the three are horrible in competitive, one of the three was good, but was massacred by Team Preview.
Their mythos is kinda silly abstract nonsense, worsened by them never getting more attention and screentime to define them. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to explaining what Uxie amnesia does to someone.

They really, really need an update to bring more attention to them. Maybe give them a new form, types, abilities, SOMETHING. As it is, they're probably the most bland, least well developed legendaries in the series.

They're kinda sexy, though

Talking competively. Regitrio is the coolest in every aspect aside from competively.
Even with Registeel being consistently a decent wall and now taking names with its demon iron defence/amesia set, Regirock and Regice are so fucking neglected its depressing.
