maybe because it's an objectively shit design? like, with most pokemon, it's more subjective, but intelleon is objectively bad. It is not subtle about its theme, it looks ugly, and it's such a downgrade from Sobble. They could've done a chameleon with subtle spy themeing that still looks like a monster species, but Intelleon looks like a dude in a costume that is an individual and not a species.
