>Genwun Privilege at its strongest

That's what happens when you give a special tank the ability to raise its physical defense, while there are no good fighting-type moves.

and when you can (could) virtually EV train EVERY stat

Yup, that made Pokemon bulkier overall.

and when that special tank can quadruple its Attack in a single turn thanks to Belly Drum.

and put you to sleep with lovely kiss

And blow up on you if nothing else worked for some strange reason.

And has an extremely wide movepool along with JUST enough special attack to be able to its special moves effectively against things like Skarmory.

Where you have to run things as ridiculous as growl miltank in order to not get steamrolled by it.

>early GS playtesters talk about how retarded strong this thing is and how overpowered belly drum is
>GF nerfs belly drum a bit and tells them they’re imagining things

does curselax run belly drum?

ALRIGHT FUCK, DAMN I GET IT
IT IS BROKEN WHAT THE FUCK GAME FREAK

i can't see why it would need it, except to boost its defense.

It's not only broken. It's so broken it's literally considered the best pokemon even in the uber tier.

If Ubers was a tier by usage then Shuckle would be in it

Well you see... The thing is when smogon would be completely justified in the ban of snorlax. FOR SOME REASON Snorlax is allowed in OU in gen 2. Which is why it's on literally every team.

Did omgon finally ban it?

1. Smogon doesn't actually ban all that much despite what seething competetivelets might tell you
2. They don't want to completely change old metas. Snorlax is THE central pillar of Gen 2
3. There was a Snorlax-less alt-meta of Gen 2. It was even worse than when Snorlax was available since Snorlax kept a lot of broken Pokemon in check
4. Banning Snorlax would necessitate a cascade of new bans as Pokemon like Raikou, Zapdos, Cloyster, and Gengar suddenly become overpowered without their biggest counter around
5. The boomers who still play Gen 2 OU and its average 120 turn games don't want Snorlax banned because they like the meta as it is, and banning Snorlax would drastically alter a 2 decade old meta.

IIRC, the only time they drastically altered a meta after it was long gone was Gen 4 OU where they allowed Latias into OU and banned Arena Trap and Baton Pass. Most of that was voted on by the Gen 4 OU playerbase, and Arena Trap and Baton Pass got the axe in most generations (except Gen 3, IIRC)

Obviously not. Those are different sets. Belly Drum Snorlax is for instant, raw power. Curse is a slow burn

Baton Pass in gen 3 isn't fully banned, but there's so many asinine rules attached that it might as well be.
