Z moves but better implemented

It's funny how that works out when GameFreak removes a feature for it to be done worse by a gimmick later.
>Z-Moves
Done better by gems
>Gigantamax
Done better by megas
>Vitamin vending machine
Done better by hordes and super training
>Following Pokemon in SWSH wild areas
Done better everywhere else and with mounts in LGPE

gen 5 sucks

gen 6 trash

truth

They had differences, but those differences were meaningful enough.
I don't know why they both nerfed and removed gems in the same generation. Were they that afraid of Hawlucha?

they probably didn't want Gems to "overshadow" Z-moves
having *1.5 for any Pokémon you want while keeping side effects would be slightly better than *~2 with no side effects and you can only use it once
truth is that Z-Moves should've never been implemented in the first place ^^"

>they probably didn't want Gems to "overshadow" Z-moves
Z-moves didn't even exist until 3 years after the gems' removal.

what? I'm pretty sure they kept like one of them or some shit in Gen 6
but yeah, I don't really know why they removed them. whatever at this point

The normal gem still exists, but every other gem was cut.

the only thing gen 5 managed to do better than gen 7

yeah. well that's retarded ^^"

>super training
>better than anything
It's a fun idea but it's way too slow

Acrobatics ruined gems

They could have easily rebalanced Acrobatics to not consume the gem until afterward.

>Vitamin vending machine
>Done better by hordes and super training
you got this one wrong tho

>>gigantamax
>done better by megas
I really hope you don't actually believe this.

Hordes for gaining EVs, Super Training for resetting them.
Even if you disagree (which is factually wrong) having a gamemode for a mechanic that's purposefully abstract and confusing is better than leaving it arbitrarily hidden.

Technically you can complete pokejobs really fast with a glitch and train/level your mons really fast.

That's a glitch, which could easily be patched out or made unworkable with just another checksum that checks the date/time.
Hordes and Super Training were natural additions to the series that should have never left.

Game Freak had a gorilion oportunities to patch it and did not. Don't think they will with SV releasing soon
