People discovered it literally the last major update before the Multiplayer update. Which tragically is looking like its going to take about a full year to do.

Wilds fucking ruled and was the definition of comfy when it first dropped, all it needed with the multiplayer update and some rebalancing and it was set to be a Any Forums staple since building autism can really carry a game.
When the update drops I know I'll be in just about every thread...any day now.

They're still creating sprites, the discord has new ones every day, they're going to make the next release have a full dex and ability pool

The next major update is going to be focused on the implementation of multiplayer, as well as traversable regions as an alternate world type, so of course there's been a massive gap between updates. Until then, I'd hold off on any real judgment.
