Rewatched the ep, weirdly I like the battle a bit more now. The whole Mega Charizard fight really needed more time and to go into next episode, but I like the grass starter battler a lot. Don't mind Malamar being defeated quickly either
The whole opening ceremonies with the champions is the best part of the ep though, especially Iris with Cynthia/Diantha. Also liked the nods of Steven talking about Alan and Ash noticing everyone

One more episode, one more loss for XYfags

Daiki Tomiyasu: Loves to self-insert himself as Ash/Red and shill Charizard in all of his works (Origins, Sun & Moon, Pocket Monsters, Twilight Wings, Evolutions, etc...). The first thing he did with the anime is making shipping Ash with Goh (who are 10 years old), and he ships Lucario and Cinderace (both male) because he's a furry pedo. Has a huge boner for Lillie (again 10 years old), which is why he spends a lot of the budget of episodes on her so that other episodes are animated like shit. He also hates all of Ash's Pokémon except for Ash's PM team. Has a hateboner for any series that existed before Sun & Moon, which explains why some companions like Serena had terrible reunions with Ash. He also only cares about the kids today rather than adults who grew up with the anime since they were kids, which is another sign that he's a pedo.
>JN was a mistake Yes. But the anime has already became a mistake ever since XY began.
Juan Baker
He's op and some people don't like op characters, but they'll always exist. Don't worry. He want to lose and the anime will make sure he lose against Ash
Logan Nguyen
It sucks she is still a moeblob leprechaun. Then again she didn't have any development
I've been pretty ambivalent about Leon vs Ash this whole series but being introduced to Hop in this episode now has me fully rooting for Leon to fucking lose like a bitch.
>has already became a mistake ever since BW began.
Ftfy
Anyways, based nips for being angry at this, get their asses
Wyatt Williams
Close but, against all odds, Chloe is worse
Hudson Gray
>He's op and some people don't like op characters, but they'll always exist. He's obnoxious because he's an inorganic retcon created exclusively to prime coomsoomers to buy Sword and Shield.
Bentley Mitchell
XY is canon to JN; JN is not canon to XY.
Matthew Reyes
Canon series: >OS >DP
Semi-canon >AG >BW >SM >JN
Not canon >XY

Inb4 Iris loses to Ash and this whole fanboy-ism of Iris blows over.
Thomas Jenkins
Iris should win this entire tournament.
Owen Phillips
Sorry Lance dragonite is a big fat retarded dinosaur and the only reason you are champion at all is because your actual champion just fucking wandered away to jack off on top of a mountain.
Why is this lil nigga introduced so late? It makes no sense. It is because Goh needs someone to talk when Ash battles since Journeys is allergic to have Koharu cheer for Ash?
Wyatt Morris
>reverse oreo
Hudson James
So I just realize we now know what Lance's 3 Pokemon are...
So who the hell owns the Mega Charizard Y? It doesn't seem like Leon will have it at all now, and Lance doesn't either.
Asher Rogers
>you the fanboyism is because she's the champion
>reality the fanboyism is because she's wearing a dress, fixed their face art and fixed their personality
Ryder Walker
>Official PR, M8 and recent episode acknowledge him only as the First Champion of the Alola League >Not the Alola Champion >i-it's just s-semantics!!1 If it's just semantics and therefore something unimportant then why go out of the way to word it like that? Why not word it in a way that gives him true equal standing with all the other Champions? Sound like it's not semantics at all, but a decision made on purpose. >Kukui and others refer to him as Alola Champion in the recent ep Meanwhile no one else in the entire world ever acknowledges him as Champion. Not even the PWC itself. He's just Satoshi senshu. I guess senshu also means Alola Champion in SMfags' schizo headcanon, right? Anyone who still says Ash is the "Alola Champion" is just overdosing on copium -- ULTRA copium.
>Both trainers did a good job showing their skills there What fucked Alain was that Leon basically catered his moveset to countering Alain's team, which is kind of bullshit considering the matchups were random. Sure, carrying Dragon Pulse wasn't a bad idea versus Lance, Ash, or Cynthia, but Ancient Power? That basically only hits Alain and no one else. Matches were rigged.
