what the hell is PKMN supposed to mean anyway?
it makes more sense on the right

who....cares???? it's *one* word like yall will complain about anything...was this really thread-worthy

I'd rather quickly scroll down to my Pokemon than my Bag.

>scrunching up the word Pokémon into a tiny corner while a four-letter word (that can be shortened to a three letter one) takes up more than enough room at the bottom
That is why. They want players to alway see the full word Pokémon.

>fight
>not attack

I'm referring to the fact that they moved it for no reason.

I'm a Gen 2 main and am playing through Emerald for the first time right now and I wondered why I kept going to the bag when I meant to click Pokémon and vice versa. I had a suspicion they changed it and when I looked it up I realised I was right. The muscle memory is ingrained into me at this point.

>for no reason
They moved them so the phrase "Pokemon" will always be visible when you're in battle rather than the abbreviate "PkMn". It's a subtle thing, but it instills recognition and immediate emotional response to the term when it's seen outside of the game's context.

I like GSC as much as the next guy but this is cringe m8

Gen 3 in general had no respect for traditional pokemon. It's why it marks the beginning of the modern era

>I'm a Gen 2 main and am pla-ACK!

Pikmin

The top looks much better. They made the right choice aesthetically and functionally.

Now the bottom just has a bunch of empty space. Good job
