The whole thing about moving away from PoW to PoS is one of those dead ends thats going to fail, and the reason its going to fail is because everyone is copeing so hard coming up with every reason possible to try say why PoS needs to be the future.... why? because they know they'll NEVER be able to make a NEW PoW that rivals Bitcoin, so they have to shill PoS and cope with PoS because PoS is the only possible way a new Crypto can ever even begin to take off.
This fear and repulsion people have to starting a NEW crypto thats PoW is exactly whats going to keep Bitcoin number 1 forever and make it end up the only Crypto left when all is said and done.

I think there will be room for Proof of Space and Time/Proof of Capacity since it's effectively delayed Proof of Work and doesn't have any of the issues that stems from Proof of Stake

I disagree. We will be using crypto for the new financial system soon. The POW crypto is too slow to support all finance. POS will be used because it's faster and cheaper.

For example Block Header Verification is simple and straight forward on PoW via a simple hash function. On PoS on the other hand it's complex signature verification and requires tracking of stakeholders over time.
Proof of Stake might as well be called Proof of Scam. Kill it with fire.
