Start with exercise, not diet. And when I say "exercise" I'm talking light... just go for walks. You'll be fine as long as your neighborhood is average tope or brighter.

Once your body starts getting back into processing calories instead of storing them all, THEN start cutting back on your diet. Don't fast at first, but skip meals if you aren't really hungry. DO. NOT. SNACK.

I lost 40lb in about 3-4 months by eating whatever I want BUT only once per day. Absolutely no snacking in between. I want to lose another 10-15lb but I've plateaued and am now working on getting my portions smaller. The goal of eating only once per day is to limit you insulin(which is what turns the shit you eat into fat) release to only once per day.
