Learning to code

Hey bros, I pretty much lost all my money in crypto (didn't sell, waiting on economic recovery(kek)) because I'm retarded. I need to stack more dough in the meantime as I'm just a lowly laborer, so I'm going to attempt the learn to code meme. Can any wise anons point me to some good resources or suggest some in demand languages?

start learning assembly and html, helped my a lot

what do you do user

what hahaha what fuckin job have you got? factory machinery that needs a website?

You learn by doing. Easiest path to go down is to start with Javascript/Node.js alternatively Python, lots of tutorials to get you started, lot's of example projects to learn from. Install VSCode now. Visit these links. Good luck. You only learn by writing your own code.

After you start, build some beginner apps, and make one simple idea of your own plus a portfolio website, obviously put them all on github. Then begin applying for junior postions.

Thank you user, this is helpful information.

When you learn enough code start doing leetcode problems, they are shitty but lot's of companies use them in interviews.

If I'm shit at math should I just do something else or is there hope for me in this field?

you don't need to be good at math you just need to be good at logic
but really if you're bad at math then it's likely that you aren't programmer material since math skill is a strong indicator of that sort of intelligence
but you can be a codemonkey even if you're an idiot you'll just never progress beyond being a part of a team implementing other people's stuff
designing systems is completely different to just building them: it's like an engineer vs a bricklayer except the bricks are java

start doing projects asap don't waste time doing course after course and learning the basics and theory
theory is important and is a big part of the difference between a truly great programmer and a decent programmer who makes stuff that works but experience is what gets you a job and will force you to think and problem solve

Yes. for two reasons,
1) If the computer runs a calculation, you only need to understand what is does, how it works, and how to debug it. You don't need to be able to do it in your head or anything.
2) Most devs spend their days not doing any math, like most of thde react devs i know spend their days tweaking css and implementing components for our company webapp.

If you are doing a programming that requires lots of heavy math, it's likely a specialised role like graphics, AI or statistical programming.

This is also good advice.
You won't know if you are programmer material until you try. And just because you get an error or whatever, what matters is your ability to figure out the solution and understand what the problem was and why.

>assembly and html
fucking kek and what are you doing now exactly?

Kill yourself, zogbot.

recruiters must be desperate to shill on Any Forums

learn to code is a meme. i have a bs and ms in cs and found it difficult to find a job. only school worth it is hack reactor for the connections. just look on linkedin

A person like this will get to judge you on whether or not you're right for the job, despite not knowing anything about the job themselves and never being capable of doing anything even close to it. They will also likely be paid more than you even if you do get the job.

we should simply drop out of society and start a parallel semi secret anonymous society. no women and no jews allowed

>tech sector is crashing
>I'm going to attempt the learn to code
the game was rigged from the start
