Landlord locks the A/C unit and thermostat

Thermostat is remote controlled and only controlled by her. It's so fucking hot and there's a heat wave ongoing. The temperature is set as 86°F (30 °C) on the unit. I have texted her multiple times to lower the A/C as I'm literally dripping in sweat, but she just leaves me on read and ignores my calls

it's not that uncommon I have a couple properties which I do the same. Saves me a lot of money overall plus if you're not paying im going to sweat you out like a dog in a car ahhaahah

You can literally sue her for this, the law states it has to be under a certain temperature and what she's doing is illegal. Threaten her with that in your next text and be sure to say you already have a great lawyer on standby to make her start sweating to change it

living in europe as a white must suck.
tell her youre having some african friends over and she must lower the temp for them.

Wait, when you rent in your country your landlord controls you a/c????? Wtf , does he sleep in your bed?

Muh law states ahahaha ok and you're going to prove this how? you're not going to court I'd you can't even make rent payments

Because she's not providing a legal livable temperature, you need to not back down and keep being her bitch. I hope I don't need to state the obvious but you need to move out as soon as possible and yes, it's legal to break lease before your stupid term is up because the temperature is too high. Destroy her property on your way out. Leave fish in the vents and screw the vent plates back on, smoke inside, pour concrete in the sinks and toilets on your last day out etc. etc.

Nowhere did OP state that he isn't paying rent you absolute mongoloid retard. He should stop paying immediately though and he's legally allowed to until he gets a livable temperature but he shouldn't wait, he should move out. Cope more.

There’s got to be some government agency you can file a complaint with or talk to a lawyer and sue

Document things and get witnesses to build your case.

I would stop paying rent until the problem is fixed. Don’t do anything stupid though and damage her property. Keep it professional. Get a Jew lawyer to help you Jew her

Did you try these universal AC pilots on app store? It worked for me once unironically.

You vill reduce your carbon footprint to zero and you vill comply™

>take timestamped photos of temperature in unit
>get a hotel and live in a hotel until the apartment cools down
>withhold rent equal to the cost of the hotel
>go to small claims court with a binder of documentation to support your claims
really not that hard to anyone who isn't a drooling nigger retards.

is this a central AC unit? if so just remove the thermostat from the wall and hotwire the compressor. connect red + yellow + white together with a wire nut, this will kick on the AC compressor and the fan.

when it's no longer hot out do this repeatedly until the AC compressor melts down and catches on fire. your landkike will be seething at the $10k replacement cost.

Who the fuck does not have control over their a/c? Rewire that shit

Now instead of OP suing her, she'll sue him for damaging her property

Most state only have regulation on winter heating, not summer AC.

good luck proving it. what are you going to do, a hire a forensic engineering specialist to prove what is clearly a manufacturing defect in the motor windings? tough luck, shekelstein.

sorry, this should read RED + YELLOW + GREEN. you want 24VAC to the cooling relay (RED to YELLOW) and 24VAC to the fan relay (RED to GREEN.)

Maybe it's time to buy a place.

This will work. Better to hot wire the ac on at the unit than the thermostat. That way the thermostat will stay hooked uo and register as functioning in the app. The thermostat won't know the unit is on. The thermostat will know what the temperature so will need to figure something out to maintain the 86 temperature at the thermostat so the landlord thinks its working right.

>Okay, just follow what user said
> connect red + yellow + whi...*ZAP* - ACK

OP take this to and make sure the wiring is right.

The landlord is probably using a Nest and is also paying for utilities so they control the thermostat.

24 volts AC isn't going to hurt you unless you're jamming the bare metal wires into your heart

Thermostats are low voltage. A person would really have do something fucking crazy to get zapped.
