A basic restaurant meal costs $20 now

I can’t even go out to eat and spend 5 or 10 bucks even on casual food anymore. A shitty subway sandwich is 10 bucks plus tax. If I get any sides I’m already up to 15. Every bbq place is charging $18-20 for a proper meal. That’s gonna be $400 a month if I eat out every day for lunch at work. What a fucking clown world

I don't go out.

For uself or family? If it’s for urself ur a fatass

I know, it's great isn't it?
I made a lot of money in crypto and now the restaurants are less crowded with the disgusting poors

Panera bread has a grilled cheese and tomato basil soup for 5.99

>$18-20 for a proper meal
>I eat out every day for lunch at work

Do I have to say it? NGMI

Every time I go to Panera I spend over 15 if I get a sandwich and coffee

They're squeezing you bro! Behold your future!

I don’t eat out anymore, I used to back when you could do it for under 10 a day easy. I fucking hate packing lunches

>paying somebody else to cook your meal

Not my problem. I just make my family buy me food :v)

I feel sorry for young people who are just getting started. How do they have a chance? Getting a teenage summer job like at a restaurant or something doesn't even seem worth it with the low amount of $$ you're bringing in vs the cost of everything now.

I literally paid $15 for a Big Mac, large fries, and a coffee and I wasn’t even full

Yeah I know. ppl in this thread are saying buying fast food is bad for you, and they're right, but in the year 2000 it was cheap as hell and something anyone could afford easily. It's proof that our standard of living is going down

it's a lot more than that. i had a gift card to red lobster that i wanted to use. two entrees and an appetizer was $90 total after tip (less $50 from my gift card.) it's absurd.

restaurant? try fast food. Burger and fries. $20 at Five Guys

they also asked for tip, which I refused

Good. Maybe you Amerifats will lose some weight and stop being so obese.

That 15 dollars here would buy me a big container of spring mix salad, vegetables and at least 2 cans of tuna. That alone would last me almost a week. Nutritious, not laden with poisonous additives and won't make me fat. The overall health benefits will help insure that I don't get sick and saves me lots of money.
If you rely on McDonalds to feed you, then you can expect the opposite: getting fat, poor health and less financial freedom.

You forgot about tips too that's an extra $5 for your $20 meal, you do tip right?

Wtf? Imagine being European lol

$15 of salad made with canned tuna (wtf.) maybe 5 meals, and like 10 grams of protein per meal. not really a valid comparison.

That sounds like a low protein starvation diet, what kinda vegetables? Like potatoes?
