First for Play Pokemon Pink CBT!!!

First for dead general

Your fakemon fucking suck david

I heard the SacredGold/StormSilver romhack is going to be revamped/updated.
ETA on when it will happen?
Should I wait or just play the current one?

Casting call for mappers familiar with Generation 3 tiles and decompilation tools like Porymap. This post is an anchor, respond to it if you're looking for work.

iirc drayano started over making it at some point and then also spent a while helping with BBVW2 redux. I honestly wouldn’t expect it until atleast next year

>upgrade to essentials 20
>change fps to 100 and double the screen size
>zero map stuttering
feels good essentialschads

What's a good number of important characters for like a basic-ish pokemon game?
I was thinking maybe 18-24 characters is good enough:
>Protagonists
2
>Gym Leaders
8
>League Trainers
5
>Professor
1
>Rivals
1-2
>Evil Team
1-4
>Other
0-2

Honest question not trying to troll or start gen wars

my first pokemon game was yellow and I played red and blue soon after I enjoyed the fire red and leaf green remakes but would have enjoyed something like an expanded version of what gold and silver did where they progressed time in Kanto to show how the region evolved over time so my question is what game does the best reinterpretation of kanto?

Has anyone tried to make a huge list of each of the types every gym leaders / e4 uses for every fangame? (Given that they are type specialists)
Might be a good analysis on what's common as a first gym and etc.

5 for postgame or mysterious trainer who are not gym leader/e4/champ

He's around 2 years overdue compared to when he said he'd be ready, I wouldn't hold out for him to be done with it any time soon. If he had a Patreon I'd directly accuse him of scamming because of how much later he is compared to when he explicitly said he'd release it

Can I get some feedback on my ROMhack idea I want to make? It has a similar concept to Pokemon Masters except that's retarded gacha and this is a traditional-style adventure.
>Set on an artificial island, a huge competition is being held where the participants are top trainers from across the different regions
>First trainer to obtain the 8 gym badges, beat the elite four and champion is crowned the winner
>All Pokemon and significant trainers up to gen 7 are included
>Trainers on routes and will all be familiar faces that received an invitation to compete
>Justified reasons as to why there would be so many legendary Pokemon present/obtainable through the game/on the island
>Underlying plot thread
Let me know if this is something you would be interested in playing, there's a lot more than just what I've typed out here as well so ask any questions

Sound fun, are you going to make it double battle only like coloseum or single?
> the participants are top trainers from across the different regions
>Trainers on routes and will all be familiar faces that received an invitation to compete
There are a lot of competitions, maybe double the amount of badge and add a tournament, this will allow them to reappear in it with a full team
The winner will be allowed to take on the e4.
It would be interesting if the gym leader/e4/champion are not the ones from main games.

These look like Nexomon that were left on the cutting room floor

Hmm yeah that tournament to earn the right to challenge the E4 is good. My planned E4 and champion are definitely not usual trainers you would expect (but aren't just 'Lance/Steven/Cynthia/Leon and then Red as the champion') so they should be interesting.
>are you going to make it double battle only like coloseum or single?
It will be single battle but a fair amount of double battles and multi battles sprinkled in.
I'll have to look in to increasing the amount of gym badges.

I upgraded from v17 to v19 and got some reduction in lag, then upgraded from v19 to v20 now there's zero lag

there's literally no reason to be a romhackuck anymore.

>there's literally no reason to be a romhackuck anymore.
how well do essentials games run on the GBA or other handhelds?

Drayano said recently he’s hoping to get SGSSv2 out before the end of 2022

>I-I can't run it on my 22 year old handheld though
seethe harder poorfag

give me the documentation and i will play it

Would it be seen as pretentious if the obligatory self-insert was the player's father?

>there's literally no reason to be a romhackuck anymore
>N-no that doesn't count

>>N-no that doesn't count
Correct.

>poorfag
Have you seen the prices of GBAs these days? Combined with the modkit and flash cart, it can get fairly pricey. Meanwhile, RPG Maker XP is designed to run on 20-year-old computers.
