four of those people are from johto

>johto
AKA Kanto 2.0

This event is final proof RR was a mistake. Everything good about his character is from being cool crime boss and ground specialist

how is this game still going on? it's literally unplayable

Autism

You could do "RR" but yeah, he absolutely shouldn't have been the leader.
A subordinate with a hidden agenda like Ghetsis would've been better for Gio, but the leader should've been someone else.

And Hoenn is Kanto 3.0
And Sinnoh is Kanto 4.0
And Unova is Kanto 5.0
And Kalos is Kanto 6.0
And Alola is Kanto 7.0
And Galar is Kanto 8.0

None of these use the Kanto's league

Yes, because originally the idea was that the Kanto league was the only league.
That's why Blue says he's the most powerful trainer in the world in Red and Blue, and why it was just known as the Pokemon League rather than the Kanto or Indigo League.

I like hgss Team Rocket

>Yes, because [HEADCANON]
>That's why Blue says he's the most powerful trainer in the world in Red and Blue
Blue was a narcissic 11 year old, not a reference for anything
>and why it was just known as the Pokemon League rather than the Kanto or Indigo League.
People from Kanto calling it just the league make sense as it is their league. When an american or a french say "the president" they are refering to theirs.

There is no other franchise with people so bitter towards the origin of the series
The only thing I can think of is its jealousy that they didnt experience when pokemon was a cultural world wide phenomenon when for months pokemon products were getting covered on the nightly news.

Kanto and the 151 are the core series, everything else is just an expansion pack

Then why did they cut kanto pokemon?

>There is no other franchise with people so bitter towards the origin of the series
There is no other franchise that treats the integrity of the series' origin as poorly as Pokemon.
Every game since Sun and Moon has been defiling its corpse to an unruly extent.

>Kanto and the 151 are the core series
>ITT: Someone who never experienced Pokemania
The easiest way to out yourself is to claim that 151 has any significance whatsoever. Johto Pokemon like Ho-oh have been ingrained in the series from even before the release of Red and Green. The only one trying to claim that a "faithful" Kanto with 151-only exists like in FRLG/LGPE is GameFreak and the children they've duped into thinking such.
There is nothing wrong with referencing Kanto. The issue is pandering which has become a genuine detriment on the series ever since Gen 7.

I wish the battle system was better so I could actually enjoy when Masters does stuff like this.

>expecting a mobile game to have good gameplay
>a free mobile game at that

>The easiest way to out yourself is to claim that 151 has any significance whatsoever. Johto Pokemon like Ho-oh have been ingrained in the series from even before the release of Red and Green.
Yeah, the 151 only thing is GF revisionist history. Back in the day, gen 2 Pokemon like Marill and Togepi were marketed alongside the gen 1 shillmons. The generations thing started in gen 3. It wasn't a thing in the early days of the franchise, no one separated gen 1 from gen 2. It was all just Pokemon.

>magma - wanted to expand the land, hinted their world was desolated when they won
>aqua - wanted to expand the seas, hinted their world was flooded when they won
>galactic - wanted to remove emotions, hinted Cyrus' ambition had been fulfilled and no-one gave a fuck about anything
>Plasma - wanted to "free all pokémon"/front for enslaving all of Unova, hinted Ghetsis succeeded and ruled the land with an iron fist
>Flare - wanted to kill all uhgly humans, hined they'd succeeded in firing the Weapon
The ONLY Team who had ambition lofty enough to invade the multiverse was TR and Giovanni, all the rest were content to re-shape their own world to their image or fulfil their initial plans. Gio wanted nothing more than absolute control of everything. And even then, they dipped into the multiverse and pulled out a Giovanni that didn't get his dick kicked in the dirt by Red, as the canon Giovanni DID get a hiding off him, several times, and gave up the aul' life of crime.

What a baseless claim. You've never seen Monster Hunter fans seethe that Rathalos was on the cover of World, and is the main monster character in Stories and Stories 2?

"Back in the day" Nintendo were expecting GS a LOT sooner than what they got. Ho-Oh got teased in the anime that time as Pokémon 2 was due for a 1997 release. Marill didn't show up until Orange Island arc and while togepi was around in the anime, they didn't start marketing it in the rest of the franchise, as the game it was featured in WASN'T READY FOR LAUNCH IN THE REGIONS YET.
Even back then, the franchise moved on what the games did and since there was no games with Togepi out in the west yet, they weren't pushing toys of it out in the west, because they weren't even out in Japan until late '99 (and NoA had a two year turnaround to localise the carts back then).

>Sinnohshit designs from HGSS

Computer ate a phrase, the Orange Island arc was commissioned due to the delay to the games yet again between 1998 and 1999 (Ishihara saying he'd knew it was important to have the anime running alongside the games and being relevant to the games on launch, so we got a doss league till the games were ready).
